Community Involvement
Art Blick has been involved with numerous community organizations and events over the years; however he is truly passionate about the work he does for juvenile diabetes research. This year marked the sixth annual Juvenile Diabetes Golf & Tennis Open, an event that Art has co-chaired since inception. He is proud to be a part of this very special event that has raised over a million dollars in total for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He was first introduced to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation when his niece was diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes and Blick wanted to do something significant to help find a cure.
Blick said "It makes me proud to know that along with the money we raised, we also raised awareness and concern in our community and even across the country, for this disorder that effects so many."
